This innovative App has been significantly refreshed by the World Bank as part of an evolving Livable Planet Observatory to improve awareness of a growing world of freely accessible data and analytics of relevance to development. Although challenges still exist in access to development data, there are opportunities to leverage the data collected from across the globe, from earth observation, and generated by models to provide useful insights. This App draws from the hard work over the years of many countries, agencies and individuals that have worked to make data more organized and accessible as free online services to provide insights for any location of interest globally. A new world of cloud analytics and visualization has also enabled access to powerful exploration of complex data. This “Spatial Agent” mobile App update leverages these new capabilities to visualize this growing range of spatial and temporal perspectives of development-related data on iPhones or iPADs.

- iOS 18.2 SDK upgrade to v26 5.1.9 May 1 Implemented Biodiversity Analysis in Spatial Agent, where users can select an area of interest, choose species through a guided process, and run habitat suitability predictions or view observations. 5.1.8 12/23/2024 Analyses
• Added remaining analysis tools: Night Time Lights and Surface Water Extent.
• Implemented caching of date values in the Analyses section for improved performance.

Projects

Satellite
• New comparison tool: Users can now overlay and compare two satellite images for the same location on the map.

Introduced dynamic zooming and clickable countries functionality to reveal subnational and project data interactively.
Layers:
Implemented a new pop-up interface accessible through the Layers icon, allowing users to quickly hide or restore overlayed layers from four tabs, including a 'Clear All Map Overlays' button for removing all layers at once. 5.1.5 06/12/2024 The updated Spatial Agent App is packed with a new design and additional functionalities, including World Bank Financed projects, Satellite Imagery access and Self Service Analytics sections. 5.1.4 05/16/2024 Major changes in this version:
